F40 Wash

More light. More color. More scope.

Developed in collaboration with lighting experts from the worlds of theatre, opera, film, TV and events, the world’s first Fresnel wash light with 3,000W of LED power redefines the limits of what was previously possible – designed for large stages, long distances and the highest demands.

The F40 Wash combines maximum brightness and state-of-the-art technology with all the benefits of a modern moving light. Compared with similar 4 kW HMI and 5 kW halogen luminaires, it consumes significantly less energy and offers more options.

Fast & precise shaping

The F40 Wash framing module features a 4-level blade mechanism, with each of the four blades positioned on its own plane. This allows all four blades to overlap and move precisely parallel to one another. Each blade can also be freely rotated and positioned and inserted at an angle of +/-30° across virtually the entire usable range. This enables fast, precise beam shaping from any hanging position and lighting angle – providing maximum flexibility in lighting design. The framing module itself can also be rotated through 130° and combined with frost.

CMY COLOR MIXING & CTC CHANNEL

The F40 Wash combines outstanding color rendering, maximum output and virtually unlimited color versatility. Its effects unit features a CMY color mixing system that continuously overlaps the three color flags to create an enormous color palette – perfectly homogeneous, from the most subtle pastel shades to intensely saturated colors. The virtual CTC channel also allows seamless color temperature adjustment from 2000–13000 K to match existing lighting environments or specific creative requirements.

F40 EFFECTS UNIT

The linear CTO and three correction filters allow precise optimisation of color rendering. In addition to a texture gobo, deep red and UV filters, the HP version features a High-CRI filter, which is replaced by a CTB filter in the F40 Wash HC. In the F40 Wash HP, the High-CRI filter delivers a color temperature of 5800 K with a CRI ≥90 – ideal for particularly natural skin tones. The linear CTO filter also enables precise color temperature adjustment along the Black Body Line: from 6800–3000 K on the F40 Wash HP and from 5800–3000 K on the F40 Wash HC.
